Horizontal Wainscoting Take 2

This weekend, there was a lot of this:


And did some of this:


Until we had a bunch of these:

Boom!  Straight 8 foot long, 3 inch wide strips cut from sheets of plywood.  The wood was then glued using construction adhesive and nailed to the wall using finishing nails.

Now we have this:


Horizontal wainscoting baby.  After the epic fail, I am amazed to say that the wood fits together ridiculously well.

Dying to know how to cut sheets of plywood into thin strips?  Stay tuned – I’ll post my secret weapon tomorrow.
